The typical manufacturing process for MMO anodes starts with thoroughly cleaning the surface of the substrate with commercially pure titanium. Next is chemical etching, which in some cases involves mechanical wear on the surface. After the surface treatment of the substrate is completed, the coating is applied as a mixture of metal salts and then thermally decomposed within the temperature range of 400-600 ° C. This forms an adhesive layer of mixed metal oxides. MMO coatings can be coated in multiple layers and subjected to heat treatment after each layer to achieve the desired coating load and meet the capacity requirements of current applications.
Mixed metal oxide anodes have been proven to operate effectively in all types of environments. Including areas with extremely low pH values and high chloride concentrations. Although these anodes can be used alone, their unique configuration makes them highly suitable for use on offshore platforms or in deep geological formations. In addition, the serial anode can be installed parallel to the conveying pipeline or used for other special applications.
